Equity Office Makes Senior Level Reassignments

PETALUMA, Calif. (Feb. 14, 2006) –. After recently acquiring the 36 building, 1.43 million square-foot-portfolio from Basin Street Properties, Equity Office quickly appointed some of the company’s most experienced property management professionals to oversee the North Bay Region, announced Mark Geisreiter, senior vice president for the San Francisco Region.

“One of the immediate benefits to our customers following our acquisition of this portfolio was how we are able to leverage our local and national scale to maximize operating efficiencies. It is very important to us to quickly demonstrate how impressive the Equity Office’s business model is, and create an immediate ‘wow’ factor for our new customers,” said Geisreiter.

According to Geisreiter, making personnel adjustments was the first step to quickly differentiating Equity Office from the portfolio’s previous owners. New senior property managers were appointed to the Santa Rosa, Petaluma, and Marin portfolios. The newly modified North Bay team is a combination of reassigned existing employees and new hires.

These appointments include, Catherine Chapnick, senior property manager, who will oversee the Santa Rosa portfolio; Kathy Kovaleff, senior property manager, who will oversee the Petaluma portfolio; and Stacy Clark, senior property manager, who will oversee the Marin portfolio.

“The senior property manager position manages the regional team and oversees property operations. A big emphasis of this position includes being in front of the customers and being on-location at the properties on a daily basis, doing periodic inspections and ensuring the customers are seeing the highest level of customer service possible,” said Geisreiter.

Catherine Chapnick, senior property manager of the Santa Rosa portfolio, has been part of the Equity Office team for the past eight and a half years and has been working in Santa Rosa for over 20 years. As senior property manager, she is responsible for Equity Office’s 3850 & 3880 Brickway Blvd and Fountaingrove Center, totaling more than 460, 000 square feet.

New additions to Ms. Chapnick’s team include Maribeth D’Amato, Carol Drysdale and Bill Georgeton, all property managers for Equity Office properties in Santa Rosa.

Ms. D’Amato is responsible for Equity Office’s Parkpoint Business Center and The Lakes. With over 20 years of property management experience, she joins Equity Office from Simons & Brecht where she was a senior property manager. Her fellow North Bay team member, Ms. Drysdale, is responsible for Equity Office’s Oakvalley Business Center, Fountain Grove Executive Center and Waterfall Towers. She joins Equity Office from Keegan & Coppin, Company, a local real estate company that has been in the area for over 25 years.

Kathy Kovaleff, senior property manager of the Petaluma portfolio, has been with Equity Office for almost five years and has over 20 years of property management experience. Ms. Kovaleff is currently responsible for six North Bay properties, including McDowell Corporate Campus and Redwood Business Park I-V.

Stacy Clark, senior property manager of the Marin portfolio, has been with Equity Office for five years and in Marin for the last four. Ms. Clark oversees approximately 694,000 square feet, including Drake’s Landing Office Park, Golden Gat Plaza, Larkspur Landing, Shoreline Office Center, Wood Island Complex and Woodside Office Center.
